Helping Everyone Enjoy Their Stay

Sign of the Pines is a small, family-run Canadian retreat located within a natural wildlife area.

These simple guidelines help us care for the retreat, respect the surrounding environment, and ensure every guest enjoys a peaceful and memorable stay.

Respecting Wildlife

Food Storage

To help keep both guests and wildlife safe, please store all food, beverages, coolers, and scented items in your vehicle when not in use.

Meals, snacks, and beverages are enjoyed in the covered outdoor kitchen and dining area.

Wildlife Encounters

Wildlife is part of life here.

Please enjoy observing animals from a respectful distance and never feed wildlife.

Caring For The Yurt

No Food or Dining Inside

To protect the yurt and discourage wildlife activity, all meals, snacks, and beverages should be enjoyed in the outdoor dining area.

Water and hot beverages are welcome inside.

Footwear

Please remove outdoor footwear when entering the yurt.

Pellet Fireplace

The pellet fireplace provides comfortable heat year-round.

Please follow the operating instructions provided in the Guest Guide.

Quiet Enjoyment

Quiet Hours

Please respect the peaceful nature of the retreat and surrounding property.

Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Visitors

The retreat is reserved for registered guests only.

Maximum occupancy is three guests.

Safety

Fire Restrictions

During periods of provincial or municipal fire restrictions, outdoor fires may be limited or prohibited.

Current conditions will be communicated before your arrival.

Children

Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times around the boardwalks, fire features, and natural areas.

Before You Leave

We ask guests to:

  • Return dishes to the outdoor kitchen area
  • Remove personal belongings
  • Place garbage and recycling in designated bins
  • Ensure food and scented items have been removed from the property
