We want your stay at Sign of the Pines Retreat to be peaceful, restorative, and in harmony with the land. A few simple guidelines will help maintain this tranquil environment for all guests:

NATURE & WILDLIFE

✔ Pack it in, pack it out. Take all garbage and recycling with you to keep the land pristine.

✔ No food or cooking inside the yurt. Use the outdoor kitchen and store food in your vehicle to avoid wildlife encounters.

✔ Use the grey water container. Only biodegradable soap at the wash basins and no soaps or shampoos in the outdoor shower.

✔ Respect the land. Stay on trails, leave nature undisturbed, and dispose of waste properly.

OFF-LIMIT AREAS

For safety and privacy, please stay out of:

🚫 The barn and corrals

🚫 The private residence and outbuildings

🚫 The well water pump

🚫 Any marked or fenced-off areas

WILDLIFE AWARENESS

✔ You’re in bear and wildlife country. Be mindful of your surroundings and follow food storage rules.

✔ Give all wildlife space. Observe from a distance and protect both yourself and the animals.

KEEP IT PEACEFUL

✔ No unregistered guests. Only registered guests may enter the property.

✔ No off-roading. Dirt bikes, quads, and motorized vehicles are not permitted to protect the tranquility and natural habitat. For off-roading enthusiasts, McLean Creek Off-Highway Vehicle Zone is less than an hour away with designated trails.

✔ Fires in designated fire pit only. Check for fire bans before lighting up, and always ensure the fire is fully extinguished when leaving.

✔ No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.

✔ Pet-free retreat. We love animals, but to keep our horses, your furry friends, and local wildlife safe, we ask that you leave your pets at home.

✔ Respect the quiet. Let the sounds of nature be the soundtrack to your stay.

This is your time to unplug, unwind, and embrace nature. Feel free to book an experience, take in some art, or simply relax and let the land work its magic.

• Observe fire bans and restrictions. If a fire ban is in place, it must be followed.
• Use only supplied firewood. Do not collect wood from the surrounding forest.
• Fires in designated fire pits only. Keep the wilderness safe.

• Leave no trace. Take only photos, leave only footprints.
• Be mindful of noise levels. Let the sounds of nature take the lead.
• Tidy up before you leave. Leave everything as you found it. Keep the space clean for the next adventurer.
